There is a "real secret" and yet it seems like every sales trainer and sales call expert has the secret of sales success.  Nonsense, they don't have a clue about the real secret.  Thus common sense becomes uncommon sense because acquiring new accounts is really very simple. The more calls you make the more sales you make. In their first year, eighty per cent of all new sales people quit or resign because they will not make enough calls. Many veterans suffer from the same dilemma, and they are losing at least three new sales a week. The result is a tremendous loss of business which can be terminal to your career and the loss of additional premium dollars to your company. One final fact is no one has ever added up the number of lost potential sales as a result of calls that were never made. The total figure undoubtedly runs into the millions of unmade sales calls, which inturn would translate into billions of dollars in lost commissions and premium income. Why is it that the biggest and most common problem that sales people have always faced is the least discussed? Can anyone explain this? No one likes the feelings of anxiety and rejection and yet it is a major part of sales. It is our inherent nature to have these feelings. Most sales training will not even acknowledge this problem.
